Full day tour of Santorini’s highlights and Venetian castles for small groups

We begin the tour by picking you up from your hotel late in the morning.After a short drive, you will arrive in the traditional village of Megalochori where you will have the opportunity to visit the famous “symposion” – a workshop showcasing traditional Greek music instruments and providing information about Greek mythological and musical traditions.

Walk around the small streets of Emporio village, and see one of the best preserved Venetian castles, which was once the heart of medieval trade on the island.Once you leave Emporio, you will have some free time to relax and enjoy a lazy day at Perivolos Beach, where you can swim or have lunch, sampling the local specialties.

Afterwards the group will drive around Akrotiri Castle and enjoy a photo stop to admire the view of the stunning caldera from the south of the island.Following that, you will visit Pyrgos, an old village built in the hilltop, with a Venetian castle overlooking the caldera, where you will get a panoramic view of the island. You may enjoy a drink from an old canava and taste the local wines.

The group will then make a short stop in Firostefani, where you will be able to take stunning photos of the famous Blue Dome and the Rock of Skaros, which used to be the island’s capital during the Venetian period.The tour will end at Oia village where you can explore the narrow passageways and see the old captains’ houses, the cave houses, and the romantic chapels. Afterward you can look out over the caldera while enjoying the sunset over the Venetian castle of Oia. A beautiful day like this will be followed by a ride back to your hotel.
